I always used to question myself “what could shamrock possibly be good for?”. I know it is used as a symbol of recognition in Ireland. Also, people give it to others in exchange for luck. What most of us don’t know is that you can actually stay healthy and reduce the great amount of fat by just adding it to your daily diet.
I am a milkshake fan. Every morning, I try different seasonal fruits that never disappoint me in giving fresh appealing colors and taste; green, blue, yellow, red and more. One day I decided to make creamy shamrock smoothie and since, it’s natural green I thought why not jazz it up a little with some spinach and mint.
It looks and tastes just incredible; you know with all the cream and eco-friendly colors. I brought milkshake-like texture by using a banana, 2-3 tbs of almond butter and a cup of almond milk. You can also add cashew nuts if you like.

Creamy Shamrock Smoothie
- 1 frozen banana
- 5-6 spinach
- 8-10 mint leaves
- 2-3 ice cubes
- 2 tbs almond butter
- ¼ tbs vanilla extract
- ¾ cup almond milk
- Take a blender and mix all the ingredients mentioned above. Blend until smooth and add almond milk according to your taste
- Pour into a glass and Voila.
